A Stormy Sonnet

Throw! Throw! Throw it down!

Wail and shriek and roar!

Then laugh, laugh, laugh it out!

Thunder upon the door!

Run! Jump! Slip and spring

Down from the gloomy grey!

Then Flash! Crash! Flash and burn

The sky bright today!

Leave them drowning in the cold,

Trembling upon their fate untold!

Then slide your liquid tresses down!

Dusken the world of a doubtful dawn!

Shimmer! Make them shiver! Shudder

Till you’re a drizzle and finally gone!
